Typical mental health awareness campaigns are not designed to speak to men and their unique mental health needs. Men account for only one in 10 diagnosed cases of depression. In response, Screening for Mental Health, Inc., a nonprofit organization, and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health have partnered to fight this public health crisis by introducing a brand new initiative called Mass Men (MassMen.org).

When it comes to employee retention, the best offense can be a good defense. While many organizations offer training for new hires, it's important to consider the development needs of staff at all levels in your organization. Not only does comprehensive training and development improve job performance, it also helps employees understand their growth potential within your organization. Pairing staff members with mentors and coaches and ensuring they receive regular developmental check-ins and discussions on goals helps them feel positive about their trajectory within the organization and can increase employee retention.
