NEHES Motorcycle Ride

We had another fabulous motorcycle ride this year and we even had a couple of vehicles that followed to join in the fun. Thank you to all of the sponsors: BCM, Columbia, Filter Sales, NFS, Victaulic, AVID Engineering & EBI.

We had 35 people in total. About 20 bikes and couple of cars.

We left on Friday morning, Sept 18th, meeting at Starbucks in Burlington MA. It was a beautiful day. The group was perfect, and we moved along seamlessly through the backroads of Massachusetts, ending up in Falmouth at the Admiralty Inn. We went out to dinner at a great La Cucina Italian restaurant. We hung out in the back under the gazebo having a few cocktails, cigars and sharing stories. It was a great way to socialize with various people in our industry without any ties.

Saturday morning we had kickstands up at 0830 and we were at the landing for the ferry. We enjoyed the ride over as passengers and began our tour after enjoying a "Black Dog" breakfast sandwich.

We enjoyed the day at an easy pace stopping along the way at some beautiful spots for photos. We even stopped at John Belushi's grave site.

We ended the day with an enjoyable ride back on the ferry; then, half of us just spent the rest of the night on the gazebo while others went out for Mexican food. Jeff Green brought the cards and cribbage board. We had a blast.

Sunday, we got up and went for breakfast, then made our way to Newport RI and up the backroads of MA and our way home. Three great days of weather and riding with a lot of stories along the way.

Thanks to all that came. Sorry to the others that had to cancel or couldn't work it into their schedule. We missed you. Next year's plan is to head to Lake George then to Lake Placid through the Adirondacks... It is absolutely some of the best riding, and I'm sure there will be more memories to be had! We hope you'll be able to make it then.

On a funny note to everyone except Paul: Paul had a tough time from Starbucks through the weekend ordering food. He was the first in line at every restaurant and the only person who was forgotten each time! I really want to thank Paul for organizing this event and coming up with the great rides. This turned from a small event with a couple people to great-sized annual ride. Thank you to everyone who participated, and I am looking forward to Lake George next year!
