A Message from the President-Elect

Well, 2021 is just around the corner, and we have made it through this crazy year! I bet most of us are ready to get on with 2021.

I would first like to thank Peter Girard for his service this year as President of NEHES. Pete has done a great job, and I’ve enjoyed working closely with him as we collectively worked our way through everything that 2020 threw at us. Pete’s thoughtful approach and great sense of humor made the hard work get done quickly and efficiently. Those are probably the same characteristics that make him such an outstanding facility manager and great friend. Pete willingly shares his knowledge, experience, and expertise. Plus, he puts up with me and a few of my crazy ideas; thanks Pete. The entire Board appreciates all you have done this year. I look forward to continuing to work with you in 2021 and for many years to come.

I am also looking forward to working with the 2021 NEHES Board of Directors. The incoming Board is a great group, and we’ll introduce each of them in the January Edition. We’ve got our work cut out for us as we begin to plan the calendar for the coming year. We’ll continue to navigate the changing landscape related to COVID-19 while ensuring NEHES continues to provide education and remains a place for networking and best practice sharing. I know the Board is up to the task, and I look forward to the opportunity to lead this great team. As always, our focus will be on each NEHES Member, to ensure that NEHES provides exceptional member value, excellent leadership and educational offerings and supporting strong Chapters which help members connect in their local area. I have no doubt we will succeed.

I hope each of you has a wonderful holiday season, filled with those things that renew and refresh you to be ready for the challenges 2021 will bring. I know we will meet these challenges.

Take care and be safe,
Cole Teague, MBA, CHFM, CHC
NEHES 2020 President Elect
