On April 1, 2022, NEHES held its annual Spring Seminar in Danvers, MA, hosted by the Massachusetts Healthcare Facility Professional Society (MHFPS), and by all accounts, the seminar was a huge success! Overall attendance increased by 35%, with active membership attendance up 27% over 2021. These numbers are on par with the 2019 Spring Seminar, prior to the global COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you to all who made this event happen and to all who attended.

There are a couple educational opportunities on the horizon through NEHES and the American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE). The ASHE Annual Conference is in Boston this summer July 17-20 and is your opportunity to attend the national conference with little travel expense. ASHE puts on an amazing conference, and we’d like to see a great showing of NEHES members. Soon after on September 18-20, NEHES is hosting the annual Fall Conference in Portland, ME, and it promises to be to an outstanding event. I urge you to get involved and plan for three days of education and activities with your peers. More details will be coming soon.

As we get further into the year, it is a good time to reflect on our past and plan for the future. NEHES is always looking for ways to improve our content and increase the value we bring to our active, student, honorary, and supporting members. We welcome ideas for improvements, content, educational/social. Who knows? You may find your way onto a committee. As always, thank you to everyone and keep doing what you do!
