2024 Spring Seminar hosted by the Rhode Island Healthcare Engineers’ Society

NEHES has joined the ASHE Energy to Care Chapter Challenge! Hospitals across New England are competing with other ASHE chapters in working to reduce their energy usage year over year. In preparation for the April 1 deadline, we are looking for five or more NEHES member facilities that are tracking data through Energy Star Portfolio Manager to join together for the ASHE Energy to Care Chapter Challenge. If successful, NEHES will achieve Platinum Elite status through ASHE for the 2024 calendar year by highlighting the amazing work many of you are doing in the space of building efficiency.

How has NEHES/ASHE contributed to your career?
Involvement with NEHES and ASHE has helped further my career with education and certification. Being new to the healthcare industry when I joined back in 2012, these opportunities piqued my interest and have helped make me who I am today.

What is your background in the healthcare facilities field?
I had no background in healthcare when I first joined back in 2012. Originally, I had a background in manufacturing.

Do you have a personal tidbit to share?
I enjoy spending time with my family, including camping in the summertime. I also enjoy watching ice hockey with my kids and rooting for the Boston Bruins!

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy that every single day brings something different so that there is never a boring day. Healthcare is changing every day.
