The NENA Next Generation 9-1-1 United States Civic Location Data Exchange Format (CLDXF-US) Standard supports the exchange of United States civic location address information about 9-1-1 calls, both within the US and internationally. It defines the detailed data elements needed for address data exchange and defines the United States profile of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) Presence Information Data Format-Location Object (PIDF-LO) to provide a format for exchange of civic location records.

As a companion to CLDXF-US Standard, the Moving Civic Location Data Between Datasets Compliant With the FGDC and NENA CLDXF US Address Data Standards document describes the relationship between the elements in the two standards and provides guidance on conversion of civic location data from one standard to the other.

NENA thanks the CLDXF-US Working Group for the hard work committed to the development, publication, and success of these documents.
