The American Meteorological Society (AMS)—a professional 501(c)(3) society working to make a difference in the fields of weather, water, and climate research—is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our senior management team and provide strategic financial leadership to the Society. The CFO will direct all financial operations of a $17 million budget with functional responsibility for accounting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, risk management, contract management, and grants administration. The position reports to the AMS Executive Director, works closely with the Council and Treasurer, and supervises a finance team of three staff members.
