From New York State Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Services
Last spring, Governor Cuomo called upon the Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Services to organize and lead the first-ever Governor’s Summit on Emergency Preparedness. The conference will be held on October 29-31, 2012 at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center in Albany, N.Y.
DHSES is excited to have the opportunity to assemble the brightest minds in public safety and emergency preparedness together at the summit. Governor Cuomo will be joining us for this event and Tony Blair, former British prime minister who led Great Britain and worked with the United States during one of the most difficult times of crisis, has also agreed to speak during the summit.
Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Services staff are working with their national contacts to develop workshops and to secure other world experts and leaders in our disciplines to speak at them.
