FIRE 2013 Preview

On-Site Registration
One Day Tickets, valid for entry to the exhibit floor only, are free from FIRE 2013 exhibitors. Contact a vendor from your area for free tickets. One Day Tickets will also be available on-site for $5 (per person, per day) at all entry gates. Full Term Registration, for entry to the exhibits and education programs (Wednesday – Saturday), is available on-site at Gate 1 only. Fee: NYSAFC Member – $80 and Non-Member – $95 (per person). Kids 15 and under can enter the exhibits for free.

Keynote Address
Don’t miss this year’s inspiring Keynote Address, "Get Off Your Knees: The John Robinson Story," held during the Annual Conference General Session on Thursday, June 13 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. in the Showroom. Open to all attendees. Learn more about the keynote here.

Memorial Service
Join us as we pay tribute to our departed NYSAFC members during this moving ceremony, held during the Annual Conference General Session on Thursday, June 13 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the Showroom. Open to all attendees.

West Webster Presentation
Members of the West Webster Fire Department will offer a special presentation entitled "The Aftermath: Managing High Profile Line of Duty Deaths" on Thursday, June 13 from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. in the Showroom. This presentation is open to all attendees. West Webster personnel will briefly touch on the horrific incident that took place on December 24, 2012, where Past Fire Chief/Police Lieutenant Michael J. "Chip" Chiapperini and Firefighter/911 Dispatcher Tomasz Marian Kaczowka were lost in the line of duty. Much of the presentation will deal with the organization of the funerals and the management efforts that were required to accommodate so many visitors for those events. The importance of the management of your own personnel during an incident of this magnitude will also be discussed, and several key "lessons learned" will be reviewed during the presentation.

OCFCA FIRE Expo Clambake
Don’t miss this Annual Conference tradition, sponsored by the Oneida County Fire Chiefs Association and the Floyd Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary, on Thursday, June 13 from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. at the nearby Floyd Fire Department. Come and enjoy great food, DJ music, and time with old friends from across the state. Fire department buses will run every 30 minutes from the Turning Stone to the nearby fire station. NYSAFC Government Affairs Booth (Exhibit Space #3135)
NYSAFC’s Government Affairs Committee will be on hand throughout FIRE 2013 to meet with attendees and discuss the association’s 2013 Legislative Agenda and the joint "Issues of United Concern" of New York state’s emergency services organizations.
