Update from NYSAFC Government Affairs Committee

Chairman, NYSAFC Government Affairs Committee
The NYSAFC board of directors and your Government Affairs Committee met on October 4-5, 2013, in East Greenbush, N.Y. to formulate our legislative agenda for 2013-2014.
Our purpose for the meeting was to review our efforts for this year, to determine what action we need to pursue for when the Legislature reconvenes for the end of the year session, and to set up our association's Legislative Agenda for 2014.
Also discussed was the proposed legislative agenda for the "Issues of United Concern" meeting, which will be held in December in Albany, N.Y. This is an annual meeting of representatives from the major state associations to approve a legislative agenda that all associations agree to support in a united effort.
The NYSAFC Legislative Agenda and the Issues of United Concern Agenda will be posted in a future issue of The NYSAFC Bugle, in SIZE UP magazine, and on our website, once final approval has been given.
