NYSAFC Communications Committee – Do You Have Questions for Us?

The Communications Committee has been looking for ways to assist the members of NYSAFC. Our committee members have great discussions amongst ourselves about all sorts of radio and communications related topics, but we are having a hard time figuring out what we can do to help our member fire departments throughout the state.

We came up with the idea of offering our committee members as a resource to field your questions about fire service communications issues that you may be facing in your local area. We won’t pretend to be the know-it-alls, but we may be able to help. If we don’t know the answer to your question, we will do our best to find the answer, or get you pointed to someone who can help. Our committee members are located throughout the state, so they have a very broad perspective when it comes to New York state fire service communications issues.

We will provide an answer via email directly to the person who submits the question. We also hope to publish some of the questions and answers (without referencing specific names of individuals or departments) in subsequent issues of The NYSAFC Bugle and SIZE UP magazine to help others.
