Controlled Substances Required to Keep ALS Status

The New York State EMS Council approved a motion requiring all ALS services operating at the CC level or higher to carry and administer controlled substances on or before May 1, 2015, or forfeit their ALS status.

The motion will be issued shortly as a DOH Policy Statement (#13-07 Controlled Substance License Requirements for EMT-CC/P Agencies) and will be posted to the Bureau website.
