Fire Service Government Affairs Day in Albany

Members of the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs (NYSAFC), Firemen’s Association of the State of New York (FASNY), Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York (AFDSNY), and County Fire Coordinators’ Association of the State of New York joined together in Albany, NY on May 11, 2015, for Fire Service Government Affairs Day.
The event began with an informational session where the fire service 2015 Issues of United Concern Legislative Agenda was reviewed. Speakers included Senator Thomas Croci, Kevin Wisely (deputy commissioner of the New York State Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Services and director of the New York State Office of Emergency Management), and State Fire Administrator Bryant Stevens (New York State Office of Fire Prevention & Control). Meetings with elected representatives from all regions of New York state were held throughout the afternoon. Thanks to all members of the fire service who traveled to Albany to participate in this productive day.
