Pediatric Medication Overdoses
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has issued a policy statement to help reduce dosing errors with pediatric oral medications. Teaspoon and tablespoon dosing should not be used, according to AAP. Devices that allow precise dosing administration, preferably oral syringes with metric markings, should be provided with the medication and used instead of household spoons. FAA Blasted for Lax Air Med Safety Efforts
