NYSAFC Partners with Plattsburgh Fire District 3 Fire Department for Sprinkler Demo

On December 3, 2016, NYSAFC and the Plattsburgh Fire District 3 Fire Department (Clinton County) conducted a home sprinkler demonstration to show how quickly and effectively these life saving devices can control a fire, saving the lives of both citizens and firefighters.

During the demonstration, a fire was ignited in two rooms containing furnishings and items typically found in the home. One room was equipped with a fire sprinkler and the other room was not protected. The dramatic demonstration showed how quickly fire spreads in the absence of sprinklers.
