Department of Health to Sunset EMT-CC
Following a State EMS Council analysis and action, the Department of Health issued Policy Statement #17-07, Critical Care EMT Sunset/Transition. The policy statement, issued in August, is available on the Bureau website.
Computer Based Testing for EMS Survey
The Bureau of EMS is conducting a survey through its Vital Signs Conference website on EMS provider computer based testing in New York state. While accessing the survey takes a few steps, it would be worthwhile to circulate this instruction form to your EMS providers so they can express their opinions on a possible change from paper and pencil to computer based testing. The survey is open until October 1, 2017.
