Guide for Developing an EMS Safety Program
The National EMS Safety Council is a consortium of fire and EMS organizations from across the United States that are committed to improving patient and provider safety in EMS. The council recently released a Guide for Developing an EMS Agency Safety Program, available here. The guide is customizable for any size or type of EMS agency and describes the roles and processes needed for a comprehensive safety program.
IAFC Community Paramedicine Guide
The International Association of Fire Chiefs has released a Handbook On Mobile Integrated Healthcare to help fire and EMS departments assess whether mobile integrated healthcare (or community paramedicine) is right for their department. The guide is available for downloading here.
