The New York University Fire Research Group has released a series of apps available for both iOS and Android devices. The apps provide free, interactive training on cardiovascular health, modern fire dynamics, residential fires, and fire scenarios simulation. Access the app page here.
NIOSH CBRN Respiratory Handbook
NIOSH recently updated its Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Respiratory Protection Handbook. The most recent edition, which reflects recommendations for departments responding to biological threats such as Ebola, includes chapters on respiratory equipment decontamination and disposal, user training standards, and powered air purifying respirators (PAPR).
