We Remember

As the coronavirus death toll continues to rise across the nation, we remember some of the New York state fire and emergency medical services personnel who have reportedly died from the COVID-19 outbreak. We honor them for their service to communities across the Empire State.

The FDNY also lost staff members Kellie Childs of the Bureau of Revenue Management, Auto Mechanic James Villecco, and Supervisor of Mechanics Thomas Ward, who was also a firefighter with the Massapequa Fire Department Engine Company 1.

We remember all of the New Yorkers who have been lost during this difficult time, and honor our health care providers, first responders, and all who continue to work tirelessly serving our state and nation.
