Michael Smith Honored for 50 Years of Service

The New York State Association of Fire Chiefs recently honored Past Chief Michael S. Smith for 50 years of dedicated service with the Southport Fire Department. He also served as the director of fire and emergency management of Chemung County for 23 years.
Smith is a longtime member of the NYSAFC Conference Committee and also serves as Chemung County regional representative.
NYSAFC 1st Vice President Lee Shurtleff presented Mike with a certificate on behalf of the association.
