A sweeping revision to the EMS Education Regulations section of Part 800 happened earlier this year. DOH recently posted a change log summarizing all the deletions, additions, and changes. You can download the log here.
Responding to Acute Behavioral Emergencies with Law Enforcement
Prehospital Emergency Care (PEC) recently published a Consensus Statement of the National Association of EMS Physicians, International Association of Fire Chiefs, and the International Association of Chiefs of Police – Best Practices for Collaboration Between Law Enforcement and Emergency Medical Services During Acute Behavioral Emergencies. Nearly a year of work and amazing collaboration between these three organizations resulted in, I might say, a darned good paper that will help us to better serve our communities.
