Repairs and upgrades continued at the association headquarters in the town of Schodack, Rensselaer County, this November with funds raised through generous donations to our "Building for the Future" campaign.
Roof repairs were completed to prevent damage from ice and water during the winter months. A long term solution will be implemented to address this problem with the building, which houses NYSAFC staff offices and association meeting rooms. Painting and siding of the structure will take place in the spring with funds from the "Building for the Future" campaign.
This capital campaign kicked off two years ago to support efforts to significantly renovate and upgrade the office facility, which has stood at the heart of NYSAFC since 1984.
Thank you to all that have made contributions. Look for more information on the campaign in 2011, or contact the office at info@nysfirechiefs.com or (800) 676-3473 if you'd like to make a contribution.
Special thanks to Directors Joe Fahd and John Sroka, vice chairmen of our Building Improvement Committee, for their efforts.
