There are still a few seats available for the Wednesday, June 15 workshop, "Successful Smoke Alarm Projects: What You Need to Know." This session will run from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Pre-registration is required.

This workshop is an opportunity for fire departments and safety educators to learn the latest about conducting successful smoke alarm installation and fire safety education programs.  The workshop will feature Public Education Officer David Blizzard from Markham Fire & Emergency Services in Markham (ON) who will describe his agency’s experiences in implementing a smoke alarm project. The workshop will also include the best practices in managing smoke alarm projects.

All fire departments represented at this workshop will be eligible to receive a free supply of smoke alarms that must be installed during summer 2011.

This workshop is free and, as a bonus, students will receive three One Day Tickets for the FIRE 2011 expo (valid for entry to exhibits only, June 16-18, at Turning Stone Resort).

To register, e-mail Sue Syzdek of NYSAFC. All remaining seats will be filled on a first-come basis.
