If you're attending the NYSAFC FIRE 2011 105th Annual Conference & Expo this June, the Oneida County Fire Chiefs Association will be hosting special events in conjunction with the Floyd and Verona Fire Departments.
The Oneida County Fire Chiefs 3rd Annual Family & Friends Clambake will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2011 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Floyd Fire Department, sponsored by Oneida County Fire Chiefs and Floyd Fire Department and Floyd F.D. Ladies Auxiliary.
Floyd Fire Department is only a short drive from the Turning Stone. Fire department buses will run every 30 minutes from the casino to the event. Vendors are welcome! The cost is only $40 per person, $8 for children 6-12, and kids under five can enter for free. The event will feature excellent food (including three dozen steamed clams per person, steak and chicken sandwiches, sausage, peppers, and onions, hamburgers and hot dogs, salads, beer and wine, and more), plus DJ music, and it's a great opportunity to meet up with friends from across the state.
The Verona Fire Department & Oneida County Fire Chiefs Association Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, June 17, 2011 at the Oneida Community Golf Club. Transportation begins at 9:00 a.m. Tee time is 10:30 a.m.
Tournament format is captain and crew. The entry fee is $75.00 per player. Prizes will be given to the top three teams. Multiple prize raffles will be available during the tournament. All proceeds raised will benefit the Western Oneida County Training Facility and Oneida County Fire Chiefs Association’s Scholarship Program.
Complete details on both special events, including how to register, can be downloaded here.
