DOH Revokes BLS-FR Agency Codes

The New York State Department of Health Bureau of EMS announced revocation of 134 Basic Life Support-First Responder (BLS-FR) agency codes on January 13, 2012, for failure to submit renewal information by the December 31, 2011 deadline. Most of the terminated agency codes were held by fire departments, some of whom may have submitted paperwork prior to January 13. Revoked services are eligible to reapply for an agency code following the full application process. DOH will soon revise their web list of services.
