CDC Revises Trauma Triage Criteria

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) issued a January 13, 2012 revision to the 2006 Trauma Triage Guidelines and announced intent to revise the Guidelines every five years. The newest revisions clarify language and incorporate the latest research on trauma outcomes. The CDC Trauma Triage Guidelines assist EMS providers to recognize injured patients most likely to benefit from specialized trauma center resources. Click here for the full report.
