AFDSNY Fire Commissioner Training

All newly elected, re-elected, appointed, or re-appointed fire district commissioners must, within 270 days, attend and successfully complete a commissioner specific state-approved training course. The Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York has been approved by the New York State Comptroller’s Office to provide this training at the NYSAFC Annual Conference on Wednesday, June 13, from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in Cypress Rooms C & D of the Turning Stone Resort in Verona, N.Y.
The course will contain training related to legal, fiduciary, financial, procurement, and ethical responsibilities, with an update on current legislation. Training presenters will be Mark Butler, Esq. and Terrence Hannigan, Esq.
