NFF Rolls Out Behavioral Health Recommendations

The National Fallen Firefighters rolled out a series of resources tied to "Firefighter Life Safety Initiative 13" – firefighters and their families must have access to counseling and psychological support.

Key among them is a protocol for occupational stress exposure accompanied by a trauma screening questionnaire that allows a firefighter or EMS provider to realistically assess his or her need for assistance.
