Applications and Nominations Now Being Accepted for NYSAFC’s Scholarship and Award Programs

New York State Association of Fire Chiefs is pleased to announce that applications and nomination forms are now being accepted for the association's 2014 scholarship and award programs.

NYSAFC Scholarship Program – Offered to enhance, through academic achievement at the college level, the quality of leadership in the fire and life safety field and to assist Active, Associate, and Affiliate NYSAFC members (and their spouses or children) in their efforts to pursue academic advancement.

Chief Fred W. Singer Fire Educator of the Year Award – Recognizes outstanding effort by a New York fire service instructor. Nominee must be an Individual Member of NYSAFC.

James W. Wright Public Education Award – Honors an individual or department/organization that conducts an exceptional fire/injury prevention and public life safety education program in New York state.

Fire Chief of the Year Awards – Honors a career and a volunteer fire chief for their exemplary leadership, innovation, professional development, integrity, service to the public, and contributions to the fire service as a whole. Nominee must be an Individual Member of NYSAFC.
