EMS Safety Booklet Released
The Center for Patient Safety, an independent organization dedicated to promoting safe and quality health care by reducing medical errors, released a sweet booklet outlining the top 10 EMS safety priorities. Download a copy here.
EMS Worker Body Measurements
Results of a study many New York state EMSers took part in have been released. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) just published a comprehensive database of EMT worker body measurements. View the study here. The data were collected as part of a nationwide survey, and can aid ambulance manufacturers in improving the design of the ambulance patient compartment for safe and effective use. Yippee!
