NYSAFC Remembers Past Director Arthur Reid

NYSAFC is saddened to announce the passing of Retired Chief Arthur J. Reid on October 1, 2018.

Reid served as a member of the association board of directors from 1988-1996 and was a member of NYSAFC since 1980. He was a 35-year member of the Eastchester Fire Department in Westchester County, holding the rank of captain, assistant chief, and chief of the department for eight years until his retirement in 1990.

Additionally, Reid was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the Army 45th Infantry Division.

We honor Arthur Reid for his service to NYSAFC and the fire service of New York state. Our sincere condolences to the Reid family.
