Brockport firefighters reportedly had a great time in Buffalo at the M&T Seneca One Tower on March 23, 2024, at the annual American Lung Association “Climb for Air.” Brockport's team raised nearly $2,000 for the American Lung Association.

Fire district officials would like to thank SUNY Brockport for allowing the team to train on campus for this event. All six Brockport firefighters finished the climb. Firefighter Tyler Lamendola brought home second place in the individual “full gear on air” category, and the team claimed the first place trophy for “full gear on air” in the overall team category. Brockport was also honored with the "Rookie Firefighter Team – Top Fundraising Award!"

Events and activities like this assist in keeping community volunteers fit and prepared to respond when called upon in their hometown. Congratulations to team members Brandon Bostian, Assistant Chief Adam Leggett, Jacob Vergari, Tyler Lamendola, Zach Alexander, and Alex Cervini.
