Did you know that Muru is the official protocol app for NYS EMS? Other apps that previously existed can no longer be downloaded and existing copies won't update with the new ALS and BLS protocols that went into effect July 1, 2024. If you haven't seen the proposed changes in Part 800 Equipment Requirements for EMS Vehicles, you probably should take a look at them. Here's a link to the full document. There are significant changes that will affect fire department BLS first response vehicles, as well as ambulances. Comments directly to DOH should be made by email.
