Since March, NYSAFC has hosted flashover training in four counties. Six additional programs are scheduled through the summer and fall. Weekend trainings are now being booked for early 2017. More than 75 students from Nassau and Suffolk Counties participated in the program, which included seminars plus water rescue and EMS hands-on training from May 14-15 in Lawrence, N.Y.
 
 
   
Students from across New York and from far away as Canada and Maine participated in the conference that was held April 29 – May 1 at the New York State Fire Academy. This year’s program included a lecture and demonstration "Burning Pods from A-Z" presented by OFPC, which dramatically illustrated the effectiveness of sprinkler systems.
