Hon. Shawn Morse, mayor of the city of Cohoes, installed Chief Joseph M. Fahd Jr. as NYSAFC president. The ceremony took place on June 18, 2016, at the Turning Stone Resort in Verona, NY.

NYSAFC mourns the loss of Past President Joseph Belczak, retired chief of the North Tonawanda Fire Department, who led the association from 1992-1993. He served as chief of the North Tonawanda Fire Department from 1972-1985. Belczak joined the fire service in 1946.
