Arthur Lewis, who served as chief of the Freeport Fire Department in Nassau County from 1976-1977, passed away on July 22, 2017. He led NYSAFC as president from 2000-2001.

Henry A. Campbell, chairman of the NYSAFC Public Relations & Information Committee and contributor to CHIEFHAC’s Corner in The NYSAFC Bugle, passed away on July 14, 2017. He served as chief of the Mount Vernon Fire Department in Westchester County from 1986-1996.

Retired Chief Frank Stefanelli of the Jamestown Fire Department led NYSAFC as president from 1986-1987 and served as deputy New York state fire administrator from 1989-1995.
