The largest emergency services convention and exhibition in the Northeast will be held at The Oncenter in downtown Syracuse, NY in 2019, 2020, and 2021.
 
Programs will be held in the Capital District (January 26-27), Monroe County (March 2-3), and Erie County (April 13-14). Registration is now open!
 
Applications and nomination forms are now being accepted for NYSAFC’s 2018 Scholarship Program, Career and Volunteer Fire Chief of the Year Awards, Chief Fred W. Singer Fire Educator of the Year Award, and James W. Wright Public Education Award. The deadline is February 28, 2018!
 
On November 20, 2017, Debbie Boniface retired from NYSAFC after nearly 25 years of service.

The holiday season is here, so we must all be vigilant about fire safety. Information on candle, cooking, decorating and Christmas tree safety, as well as home heating safety is available for fire departments to share in their communities. NFPA’s "Project Holiday" campaign and the NFPA and USFA "Put a Freeze on Winter Fires" campaign provide free resources, such as fire safety tip sheets and videos.
