NYSAFC has partnered with PERMA to continue the free "Fire/EMS Behavioral Health: The Price We Pay" workshop series this year. This program will review the behavioral health problems that fire and EMS personnel experience. Participants will learn about the skills necessary to recognize and help members who are struggling with mental health issues. Workshops presented by Mike Healy and Jared Meeker will be held in Cattaraugus, Clinton, Fulton, Nassau, Oneida, Onondaga, Rensselaer, Rockland, Westchester, and Wyoming Counties.

This program financially assists PERMA and NYSAFC Fire Department Members in obtaining equipment that will help reduce injury and illness within their agencies. Monies will be awarded to obtain new gear washer and dryers, which remove carcinogens from turnout gear while maintaining gear durability.
