On June 6, 2018, the Oneonta Fire Department conducted a live fire demonstration of its new portable sprinkler burn pod, which was built by students from Otsego Northern Catskill BOCES. NYSAFC provided funding to support construction of the unit through its NFPA and FEMA sprinkler grants.
