Join NYSAFC at the FIRE 2019 Block Party on Friday, June 14 (5:30 – 8:30 p.m.) as we celebrate the return of our conference and expo to Syracuse! For the party, South Warren Street will be closed in the vicinity of the Marriott Syracuse Downtown, located a short distance from The Oncenter. Entrance is free and open to all. The celebration will include live entertainment, food trucks will be selling a variety of local fare, and refreshments and adult beverages will be available to purchase. Rain or shine!

Registration is open for programs in Columbia (October 26-27), Jefferson (September 7-8), Ontario (October 19-20), Saratoga (September 14-15), and Steuben (June 29-30) Counties. This intense 3-hour program includes a 1-hour lecture followed by two hours of hands-on training in a mobile flashover simulator with NYSAFC’s veteran instructors. For those departments or county organizations interested in hosting this training, programs are now being scheduled for the fall.

A new site has been announced for NYSAFC's free Commanding from the Front Seat training series! Registration is now open for the June 22-23 (2-day) program in Cayuga County. Seats are still available at the April 27-28 classes in Niagara and Onondaga Counties and the May 4-5 classes in Chautauqua and Tompkins Counties. Pre-registration is required, so act quickly!

NYSAFC’s 5th annual climb will be held on Friday, June 14 at AXA Towers in Syracuse, just a short walk from The Oncenter, in conjunction with the 113th Annual Conference & FIRE 2019 Expo. All proceeds will benefit the FDNY Counseling Services Unit and National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. There are many ways to lend support: Climber ($35), Virtual Climber ($25), Team ($35 per person), or Donor (give any amount). Limited to 100 climbers.
