More than 40 fire/EMS classes will be delivered during the four-day event in Syracuse, open to Full Term Registrants. Two new educational opportunities are available at FIRE 2022 to assist fire district administrators, including fire commissioners, fire district secretaries, treasurers, and fire chiefs. Attorneys Mark Butler and Terry Hannigan will present "NYS Fire Commissioner Training" on Wednesday, June 15 and "Fire Chiefs and Fire District Commissioners: Who’s Really in Charge" on Thursday, June 16 at The Oncenter. After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the conference hosted by the New York State Office of Fire Prevention & Control and NYSAFC returns to the New York State Academy of Fire Science from May 13-15, 2022. This year’s theme is “Risk Reduction is Everyone’s Function.”
