Suffolk Construction was selected to manage preconstruction and construction of the 120 Kingston Street project that borders Boston’s Chinatown neighborhood and the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway. Located on a tight urban site, the $127 million, 293,000 square-foot residential tower will consist of 240 apartments ranging from studios to three-bedroom units. The 26-story tower will also feature 4,500 square feet of street-level retail space and three levels of above-grade parking.

Suffolk recently broke ground on the 120 Kingston Street project, which is scheduled for completion in mid-2014. Triangular in shape, two sides of the building will be precast concrete while the third side will feature a unique convex glass window wall. The scope of the project also included demolition of the vacant Dainty Dot building on the 120 Kingston Street site.

Suffolk is partnering with developers Forest City and Hudson Group North America, LLC and architect firms Elkus Manfredi Architects and Perkins Eastman for the exterior of the building and RODE Architects for the interior spaces.
