Cadence McShane to Provide Construction Services for Bowden Event Center

Will Hodges, president of Cadence McShane Construction Company, a TEXO and Houston Chapter member, is pleased to announce that the firm has been selected to provide the new construction services for Bowden Event Center on behalf of the Greater Keller Women’s Club.  Located on Keller Parkway in Keller, Texas, the comprehensive assignment incorporates a chapel and adjacent event center.  Construction began in late October with completion slated for fourth quarter 2016.

Founded in 1989, the Greater Keller Women’s Club is a local organization dedicated to furthering the welfare of people within the community and fellow members through philanthropy, fundraising and community outreach. The new campus will advance the organization’s initiatives by providing contemporary facilities that support their continued growth and activities.  

As part of the assignment, Cadence McShane will construct a single-story, 8,000-sq-ft chapel situated on the west side of the 5.6-acre property. The building’s exterior design features a classic gabled roof and an elegant façade utilizing a combination of stone and stucco. An interior foyer will offer direct access into a sizable grand chapel boasting intricate woodwork, millwork and an abundance of natural light through its large windows overlooking an outdoor patio area and landscaped site.    

Situated to the east of the chapel and connected by a trellised walkway, the firm will complete a 28,000-sq-ft, single-story event center. The facility will feature a sizable main room incorporating a stage and state-of-the-art audio visual equipment providing an optimal setting for meetings and events.  A full-service kitchen, dressing rooms, private offices, conference rooms and an outdoor patio will also be completed. To complement the neighboring chapel, the event center will boast a harmonious exterior façade utilizing a blend of masonry, stone and stucco finishes.  It will also keep with the same attention to woodwork and millwork elements throughout the interior space.

Cadence McShane will complete all sitework for the project including landscaping and a 189-car parking lot.  Jacobs & Associates is providing the architectural services for the project.
