JE Dunn Construction Completes Animal Science Laboratory at Berry College

JE Dunn Construction, a member of multiple AGC chapters, recently completed a new laboratory for the rapidly growing animal science program at Berry College in Rome, Georgia.

The 4,600-sq-foot facility—a pre-fabricated metal building with Quik-Brik masonry walls—expands capacity for faculty and student research and provides space for hands-on teaching labs.

Located near the college’s Rollins Ruminant Research Center, the new animal science laboratory includes a large holding area with stanchions and other equipment for safely working with up to 10 head of cattle; a flexible open space that can be configured for use with a variety of smaller animals including sheep, goats and poultry; a research laboratory where blood and tissue samples can be prepared; a large storage room to accommodate portable pens, panels and other materials; and a veterinary support room.

The facility was funded through gifts to LifeReady: The Berry College Campaign for Opportunity.
