Gilbane Building Company, an AGC member in multiple states, recently announced that Jeff George has joined the construction management leadership in the role of director of corporate and commercial markets. In addition, Karen Arpino-Shaffer and Joe Gallagher, two members of Gilbane's Massachusetts team, have joined the construction leader's senior management ranks following their recent promotions to vice president.
With his prior experience, George developed an outstanding record of client advocacy and success in a range of markets, including retail, mixed-use, hospitality, corporate office and K-12 education. This strategic hire reflects Gilbane’s anticipation of the return of corporate and commercial markets in the Southeast.
Ms. Arpino-Shaffer is a senior project executive and guides Gilbane’s transportation market activities. Currently, she is applying her more than 30 years’ experience in design and construction management of complex public and private sector projects leading Gilbane’s work on the $1.2 billion MBTA Green Line Extension project while actively supporting the growth of Gilbane’s transportation work nationally.
Gallagher, Gilbane’s district manager of business development in Massachusetts, possesses a long track record of successfully advancing real estate transactions in a variety of roles. His expertise in the downtown Boston marketplace has been instrumental in Gilbane securing major new work with a range of downtown clients.
