Kaiser Electric Installs Backup Generator at Governor's Mansion

Kaiser Electric, an AGC of St. Louis member, recently completed a three-month project to wire the Missouri Governor's Mansion in Jefferson City. The scope of work included furnishing and installing a 300 kilowatt backup generator for the entire power system, replacing an outdated natural gas 20 kilowatt generator that only powered the security system. The historic Neo-Renaissance structure was built in 1871 on the bluffs of the Missouri River, so finding a conspicuous area to place the new generator on the mansion grounds proved to be a challenge.
