Brayman Construction Promotes Frank Piedimonte to President and COO
Brayman Construction Corporation, a heavy civil and geotechnical contractor and a member of multiple AGC chapters, ranked as number 11 in the Pittsburgh Business Times Contractors list, has promoted Frank A. Piedimonte, P.E. to president and chief operating officer.
This announcement was made by Chairman and CEO Stephen M. Muck who stated, "the Board of Directors has full confidence in Mr. Piedimonte’s ability to manage the day-to-day operations of the company and continue its growth and strategic development." Mr. Piedimonte has been with Brayman since 2004 when he joined the organization as a senior project manager. In 2009 he was promoted to vice president and in 2011 to executive vice president of the Heavy Civil Division.
During his time at Brayman, Mr. Piedimonte has been the executive in charge of many notable construction projects in the region; he led the Trumbull-Brayman joint venture at Charleroi Lock and Dam ($97M), the Freeport Bridge Reconstruction ($63M), the Ironton-Russell Cable Stay Bridge over the Ohio river ($83M) and is currently the lead executive in charge of the Hulton Bridge Replacement ($64M) in Oakmont Pennsylvania.
Outside director and chairman and CEO of Laurel Holdings, Mr. Kim Kunkle, stated, "Mr. Piedimonte has shown strong leadership and a broad understanding of the construction and financial details needed to successfully run the business." Mr. Kunkle further commented that, "the move will free up more of Mr. Muck's time to focus on strategic opportunities."
Mr. Piedimonte is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and resides in Cranberry Township with his wife and two sons.
