AGC of Virginia Elects New Officers
AGC of Virginia is proud to announce the election of its officers for 2015: Glenn Thompson of W.M. Jordan Co. in Richmond as chairman of the Board; Michael Cagle of MB Contractors in Roanoke as vice chairman of the Board; and Ed Bowman of W E Bowman Construction in Richmond as vice chairman-elect of the Board. Kevin Willis of k2w consulting in Charlottesville will serve as immediate past chairman.

Thompson has served on the board since 2009, was president of AGC’s Richmond District in 2008, and currently serves on the District’s Executive Committee. He is a founding member and chairman of the ACE Mentor Program of Central Virginia, a nationwide program designed to introduce high school students to the wide range of career opportunities open to young people in architecture, construction, engineering, and related areas of the building design and construction industry. Thompson, a native of Chesterfield County, and a Virginia Military Institute alumnus, is the director of business Development with W. M. Jordan Company. He resides in Richmond, Va. with his wife, Kim, and their two daughters, and enjoys attending theatrical performances for one, and soccer or basketball games for the other.
Cagle is active at the state and local level, serving on the state board representing the Roanoke District as well as serving as immediate past president of the Roanoke District. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech, with a BS in Civil Engineering. He has over 21 years experience in the commercial construction industry and currently serves as executive vice president at MB Contractors in Roanoke, Va.
Bowman is the president of W. E. Bowman Construction, Inc., a mid-size construction contractor based in Virginia. The company was started by his father in 1970 to specialize in historic restoration projects. He grew up in Richmond, attended Trinity Episcopal School and earned both his Bachelors and Master of Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is happily married to Lori Bowman and has three daughters Mollie, Kate and Jane. Ed enjoys the outdoors especially duck hunting and fishing.
