Tarlton Promotes Freese to Project Director

Tarlton Corp., a St. Louis-based general contracting and construction management firm and a member of multiple AGC chapters,has promoted Jeff Freese to project director. 
 
In this new role, Freese is on the Tarlton construction management team completing the core and shell renovation of the six-story, 700 Market building in downtown St. Louis for The Koman Group, as well as the interior fit-out for the headquarters of The Laclede Group, which will occupy the building this spring. The distinctive 130,000-sq-ft building, which was designed by architect Philip Johnson, has been vacant since 2004 and is one of the younger buildings on the National Register of Historic Places.   
 
"Jeff’s broad-based industry experience has enhanced Tarlton’s ability to respond to our clients’ needs on numerous projects," said Dirk Elsperman, chief operating officer, Tarlton Corp. "He has shown strong leadership on many complex projects and plays an integral role on our management team." 
 
Freese joined Tarlton in 1997 and previously served as senior project manager on multiple construction projects in various market segments. Working for Wexford Science & Technology, his team recently completed @4240 in St. Louis’ CORTEX District, a LEED® Platinum, state-of-the art restoration of the historic Heritage Building. Freese also worked on a 67,000-sq-ft inpatient bed unit, pharmacy and medical office building expansion for Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital; the LEED® Certified Earth and Planetary Sciences Building at Washington University in St. Louis; and on dozens of laboratory renovations for Monsanto and Pfizer. 
 
In addition, Freese served on the award-winning team that transformed a church into Moosylvania marketing headquarters in Maplewood, and he has managed projects for Nordstrom in Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Michigan.
