New Turner Construction Offices at Piedmont Center Promote Efficiency, Collaboration and Growth

Turner Construction, one of Atlanta’s top construction companies and a member of multiple AGC chapters including AGC Georgia, has moved to a new 10,000-sq-ft office at 3495 Piedmont Road, Suite 700, in the heart of Atlanta’s Buckhead business district. The new space offers collaborative advantages that are allowing the company to respond quickly to client needs as business growth accelerates.

The company’s new offices occupy the seventh floor at Eleven Piedmont Center, a PC Management Company facility. Jones Lang LaSalle worked with Turner to secure the deal. Across Turner’s system of 46 offices nationally, the company has been examining its space requirements to create more efficient environments for their employees.

"Turner has been growing steadily as the construction market continues to turn around post-recession," says Mark Dent, vice president and general manager of Turner Atlanta. "This new space is fueling our growth, with a smaller, less expensive footprint."

Dent added: "We are seeing more projects in the pipeline than we have seen in many years. Turner Atlanta is on track to exceed our sales projections for 2015 and we are well-positioned to increase the pace as this trend continues."

Collaborative Floorplan Allows for Enhanced Productivity
In their new workspace, Turner teams are now more accessible in adjacent offices. This increased efficiency and ease of staff collaboration -- including a more open floor plan with multiple "huddle" rooms -- lets Turner staff be more responsive to their clients’ needs.

"Construction companies need a work environment that allows for quick and accurate information sharing," said Dent. "Many of our employees -- project executives, superintendents and project managers -- spend the majority of their time in the field and have less of a need for one-person offices."
